Ranchhod Patel, a humble man with a heart full of love, passed away on February 22, 2025. Affectionately known as Ranchhob, Bapu, Mota Dada, or simply Dada to those who loved him most, he was born on April 13, 1923, in Gujarat, India. His journey of life took him from the vibrant streets of Kavitha to the tranquil neighborhoods of Piscataway, New Jersey, where he spent the last 32 years of his life.
Ranchhob was a man of great intelligence. After a fulfilling career, he spent his retirement years embracing the joy of family and nurturing the future generation. He was the proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and purpose to his life. His grandson, Andy Patel, survives him. His passion for life was reflected in his regular visits to Sunny Daycare, where he shared his wisdom, love, and laughter with the community. His parents, Rambhai Patel and Dahiben Patel, preceded him in death.
Ranchhob lived his life in line with the principles of the Hindu Jain faith, consistently inspiring others with his humility and kindness. He embodied the essence of the Jain verse, "Live and allow others to live; hurt no one; life is dear to all living beings." Ranchhob was an epitome of love, radiating warmth and compassion to all those around him. His life was a testament to the power of love, humility, and intelligence, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
