Raju Dhanyamraju

Raju Dhanyamraju, known affectionately as Tammu by his loved ones, was a man defined by his ambition, smart intellect, loving nature, and resilient spirit. Born in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India on June 17, 1957, Raju carried these qualities with him throughout his life, from his humble beginnings in India to his well-earned success in the United States. As his son, Kaushik, it is my honor to share the legacy of the man who was not only my father, but my hero.

Raju was a man who truly believed that, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do," a quote by Steve Jobs. His passion for work and learning led him to earn a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a Master's in Industrial Engineering. His ambition brought him to the United States, where he became a citizen on November 8, 1994, a day that was doubly joyful as it was also the day of my birth. His dedication to his work as an SAP/BW consultant was evident, and his successful IT firm, RDR Systems, was a testament to his tremendous abilities.

But Raju was not just a smart and ambitious man; he was also incredibly loving and resilient. His love for his wife, Radha, and me was immeasurable, and he always put family first. He was a vibrant soul who loved cricket, music, movies, and karaoke. His resilience was evident in his spiritual and religious practices, which kept him grounded and focused, regardless of the challenges he faced. Above everything, he was a foodie who believed in enjoying the finer things in life, with a particular fondness for tennis and IT software development.

Raju Dhanyamraju is survived by his wife Radha and son Kaushik. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dhanyamraju Rao and Dhanyamraju Suryakumari. His funeral Puja, viewing, and last rites/cremation will be held on Wednesday, 21 Oct 2026 at 12:30pmEDT at The Crematory at Holy Cross, 228 Cranbury - South River Road, East Brunswick, New Jersey, 08816.
