Mebol Tawadrous Obituary (1925 - 2017)

In Memory of Mrs. Mebol Tawadros Jesus said to her "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he dies, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die." John 11:25-26 Mebol Tawadros ElMaraghy, of New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2017. The family will be accepting condolences on Monday evening, February 20th, 2017 from 7:30 PM to 9PM at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church, 433 Riva Avenue, East Brunswick. Funeral Prayer Services will be held on Tuesday, February 21st 2017 at 11AM immediately after the Divine Liturgy. Entombment will follow immediately thereafter at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum, 1800 Route 27 (at Cozzens Lane) in North Brunswick, NJ. A Funeral Agape Meal (repast) will follow the Entombment at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church, 433 Riva Avenue, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 in the Fr. Bishoy Fellowship Hall. Born in Tahta, Egypt, Mebol was the wife of the late Shawky Samuel ElMaraghy. She was a devout woman who instilled a great love of the Lord in her 5 children. She raised and cared for many extended family members and saw this not as a burden, but a blessing from God! She was also known as Mom to her orphaned nephews and nieces who she helped raise. However, the love and joy of her life were her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In 1997, she moved to the United States to join 3 of her children who had previously immigrated to America. In America, she was a beacon of love to all who knew her and never let her language stop her from showing others how much she cared for them. Her friendliness and bright smile could light up any room and brought much happiness to the residents of McCarrick Nursing Home, where she was a resident for the past year and a half. Mebol, or Teta as she was known to her family and loved ones, loved attending the Holy Mass and prayed with a sincere heart for all those she knew. Always smiling and happy at family gatherings and celebrations, she would always impart her wisdom and love of the Lord to her family and made sure no one ever went home hungry. Mebol is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren both here and in Egypt, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 11 siblings in Egypt. May the love she had and shared with others be an example to us all. May the Lord repose her soul in the Paradise of Joy.
