It is with great sadness The Varela Family announces the sudden passing of their beloved Maria D. Varela.

Maria D. Varela, 86, of Franklin Park, NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022. We pray to God for her departed soul to rest in eternal peace and give strength to the family members to bear the loss of their beloved Maria.

Maria is pre-deceased by her beloved husband Leonardo Avirama. She is survived by her loving daughters Guiomar Pernia and Jenny Varela. Maria also leaves behind her cherished grandsons Daniel Pernia and Camilo Rodriquez as well as many other family members, friends and loved ones.

Maria loved to play Parcheesi everyday as well as knitting for her loved ones.
