Lakrajie Itwaru

Lakrajie "Ramo" Itwaru, born April 16, 1942, in Albion, Guyana, was a beacon of love and generosity that shone brightly in the lives of her family and friends. Her thoughtfulness knew no bounds, and her compassionate spirit was a testament to her strong Hindu faith.

Lakrajie was a woman who found joy in the simple things in life. She spent countless hours cooking and sewing, crafting beautiful meals and garments for herself and her daughter Rona.

In September 2000, Lakrajie left Guyana with her husband Carew (Decker) to come to the United States. She spent years helping to raise her grandchildren, which allowed her daughter and son-in-law to be able to move to New Jersey and provide a better life for the family. Her devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. Her eyes would light up as she watched her grandchildren, Connor and Kristin. She was a constant source of comfort and wisdom to her daughter and son-in-law, Rona and Charles Beaulien. Her family was her pride and joy, and she showered them with unconditional love and support. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sukhai and Budhia Khadoo, and her husband Carew Itwaru.

Lakrajie is survived by her daughter, Rona, her son-in-law, Charles, her grandchildren, her siblings Harry, Seenauth, Doris, Esho, Cero, and Rajkumarie, and many nephews and nieces.

She was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed.
