Habib of East Brunswick, NJ lived an exceedingly passionate and purposeful life who fought bravely until his last breath. Joseph was born on February 8, 1944 in Assiut, Egypt to father, Sadik Habib and mother, Fahima. He had 7 brothers and sisters who he loved dearly; Gamil Sadik, Freyal Sadik, Nawal Sadik, Alfred Habib, Michel Sadik, Amal Girgis & Sarah Girgis. He is also a beloved Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Joseph married his devoted and loyal wife, Lisa, on December 17, 1972. He is survived by his wife and his two daughters, Violet Habib-Allen and Diane Habib and his two grandchildren, Isaiah Joseph Allen (3) and Isabella Habib (7). His love of learning led him to attend Assuit University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering. Joseph emigrated to the United States with his wife in 1973 as the first in his immediate family to leave Egypt in order to create a better life for him and his family. From the moment he came to the United States he was motivated and driven to succeed in this new place he has now called his home. He was determined to learn English fluently and eventually pursued a career in a chemical laboratory where he became a Lab Director. In the early 1980's while Joseph was pursuing his career in the laboratory, he opened his first business which was a deli store. A few short years later he ventured into the drycleaning business. In 1988, Joseph began what was truly the start of his entrepreneurial legacy. He obtained a Dunkin' Donuts in East Brunswick, NJ and shortly after, he left his career in the laboratory to focus on his own business. This led to four Dunkin' stores that he owned and operated. Joseph was a risk taker in life and didn't accept failure as an option. He loved to pursue new ideas and this led to his entrepreneurial expansion within the hotel industry. Throughout the years he owned and operated, along with partners, at least six hotels. He was without a doubt an honorable man who lived the American dream. Besides Joseph's entrepreneurial legacy, he was the most devoted family man. His unwavering love and loyalty to his family is indescribable. All that he has accomplished was to ensure his family's well-being and education for generations to come. Joseph also had many friends who have become like family to him throughout the years. He is truly loved by so many. Above all else, Joseph was a devout Coptic Orthodox Christian who loved his Church and his Church family and loved to passionately study his Bible. His relationship with the Lord was strengthened over the last 10 years; even in his darkest hour when he could barely move, he found the strength to lift his sore weak arms to praise and receive the Lord. On January 5, 2022 we lost an amazing, loving, devoted, loyal man but Heaven has gained an angel. There will be a condolence service to offer condolences on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 6 PM to 8 PM at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church, 433 Riva Avenue, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. The Funeral Service and Prayers will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 12Noon at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church. Burial will follow immediately at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 Lincoln Highway, North Brunswick, NJ 08902. We will return back to St Mary Church immediately following the Interment for the Third Day prayers.
