Jashbhai Patel

Jai Shree Krishna

The Patel Family is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of their beloved Jashbhai Patel, simply and affectionately known as dada, on Sunday morning June 2nd 2024. Dada was born on January 16th, 1934 in Nadiad, Gujarat to Maniben and Shantilal Patel. He was raised in Vaso and moved to Maninagar after marrying the love of his life, Kantaben Patel in 1959, where they grew a family of their own.

Dada was a hardworking, loyal, and honorable husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all, always prioritizing his family's wellbeing and happiness above his own. Early on in his life, dada worked hard at Rivera where he never passed up on an opportunity for overtime, cherished raising his first-born grandchild, and travelling around India and the US with his dear wife. More recently, dada enjoyed going to his adult daycare center, reading his Gujarati magazines, watching the daily news, going on walks with his wife and grandchildren, or simply drinking chai and eating a coconut donut from Dunkin Donuts in the company of his family.

Dada will be remembered for his uplifting smile, welcoming personality to all, and kind demeanor. Dada spent 90 years providing love for those around him and leaves a legacy of carrying that spirit in all those he touched. Dada is survived by his beloved wife, daughter, grandchildren, and countless other family members and friends alike. We pray to God for his departed soul to rest in eternal peace and give strength to the family members to bear the loss of their beloved Jashbhai.
