Dr. Sobhi Fred Mishrikey Obituary (1937 - 2021) - North Brunswick Township, New Jersey

Isaiah 41:10 The Mishrikey family is heartbroken to announce the passing of their beloved Dr. Sobhi Fred Mishrikey. Dr. Sobhi Farid "Fred" Mishrikey was born September 1, 1937 in Cairo, Egypt, and passed on November 27, 2021 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, at the age of 84. Fred is the son of Farid Mishrikey and Mary Mansour Ghattas, brother to Mishrikey, Evelyn, Treza, Ferial, and Aida, uncle to Ragy and George Adib, Amir and Dina Agaiby, Maged, Nader and Simon Wahba, and Mishrikey, Hany, Nader, Mervat, Nahed, and Iman Mishrikey. He married his incredible wife Miriam on Easter day, April 10, 1977. He is survived by his wife and his three sons Mina (Leslie), Matthew (Martina), and Joshua, and by his five grandchildren Jack (8), Charlie (6), Layla (4), Leander (6) and Rania (4). Fred immigrated to the United States in 1969, where he completed his training and licensing as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Initially he worked for the USDA as an inspector, before establishing the Castor Animal Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia, which he operated with Miriam between 1979 and 2019. Fred will be remembered as generous, diligent, and self-sacrificing. He worked hard to raise his three sons, and to ensure their education, livelihood, and work ethic. He had several hobbies and interests, but above all, he was a devout Coptic Orthodox Christian who loved the church and his extended church family. There will be a wake service for family, friends, and loved ones to offer condolences on Wednesday December 1, 2021 starting at 7:00pm at St Mary & St Mercurius Coptic Orthodox Church, 209 W 5th Ave, Conshohocken, PA 19428. The Funeral Service and Prayers will be on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 11:30am immediately following the Divine Liturgy of the Believers which shall start promptly at 9:00AM at St Mary & St Mercurius Coptic Orthodox Church, 209 W 5th Ave, Conshohocken, PA 19428. The Interment will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery located at 1600 S Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 immediately after the funeral prayers. Following interment, there will be a meal of love celebrating the life of our beloved Dr. Sobhi Fred Mishrikey at St Mary & St Mercurius Coptic Orthodox Church, 209 W 5th Ave, Conshohocken, PA 19428 in the Fellowship Hall on the lower level.
