Dr Magdy Ghaly, 68, of Apollo Beach, FL passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Ruby Memorial Funeral Home (Bloomfield, NJ). Memories and condolences may be shared at www.rubymemorialhome.com Born in Egypt, Dr. Magdy attended Ain Shams University where he studied medicine. He had a long career as a doctor which included a successful private practice in Somerville, NJ. He was the Director of Utilization Review at Somerset Hospital for 15 years. Most recently he worked as a Physician with Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was loved by his patients, and he generously used his practice to help people that could not otherwise afford medical care. Medicine was more than a career; it was his life and his passion, and he had an intense dedication to the people he cared for. He made friends everywhere he went, and his sense of humor and warmth will be dearly missed. The family will be accepting condolences on Friday evening, May 25, 2018 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at St. Moses and Anba Abraam Coptic Orthodox Church, 40 Davidson Road East, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Funeral Prayer Services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10:30AM immediately after the Divine Memorial Liturgy which shall start at 8:00AM. Entombment will follow immediately thereafter at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 Route 27 in North Brunswick, NJ. A Funeral Agape Meal will follow the Entombment at St. Moses and Anba Abraam Coptic Orthodox Church, 40 Davidson Road East, Piscataway, NJ 08854 in the Church Fellowship Hall (Basement).
