Asha Vikani Obituary (1954 - 2021)

It is with great sadness The Vikani Family announces the sudden passing of their beloved Asha Vikani. ~~~~~~ Asha Vikani, age 67, beloved wife to husband Rasik Vikani and loving mother of Ami Vikani, left for her heavenly abode on the morning of December 25, 2021. Asha was born on February 18, 1954 in Morbi, India to Veljibhai and Motiben Halvidia. She received her Bachelors of Arts (BA) from Gurukul Mahila Arts and Commerce College. She then moved to Chicago, Illinois in October 1978 and married the love of her life, Rasik Vikani on June 16, 1981. On May 23, 1985, Asha and Rasik were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Ami Vikani. Asha always took pride in passing on her values and teachings to her daughter in order to make her a strong, independent, and caring woman. Besides being an extraordinary mother and a dear wife, Asha was also a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mentor and friend. She had an infectious and magnetic personality that shined bright and made everyone around her feel special. In her free time, Asha loved to read books, practice yoga, meditate, cook, and garden. She was a being of faith who dedicated her life to Shankar Bhagwan and lived by His principles and teachings. She believed that one of her purposes in life was to help people in need and to that extent, she devoted herself to philanthropy. She was a strong woman who strived to achieve her goals. She was a fearless and always lived by her values and ethics. Asha is survived by her husband Rasik Vikani, her daughter Ami Vikani and 3 siblings, Sanat Halvadia, Vasanti Vekaria, Kishor Halvadia. We know that we can't have you but we're happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back.
