Our Beloved Gururajarao Rangarao born on October 29, 1936, has left us and joined the Spiritual World on February 7, 2018. He was a religious, kind hearted, and loving man. His love was for Family, God, Friends, Music, Cooking, Travel, and the Arts. He always opened his door and welcomed everyone with open arms.

Gururajarao was born in Erode, India on October 29, 1936 and studied at the Indian Institute of Technology. In 1966, he was one of three students selected for a scholarship to study in the US. He then began his graduate school journey at Illinois Institute of Technology, then to Columbia University where he studied, graduated and taught Masters level courses. In addition, he taught at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) as an adjunct professor.

Gururajrao was a Nuclear Physicist working for many years at Power Authority of New York.

His greatest professional accolades were the design of numerous Nuclear Reactors spanning the world that are still providing energy to millions of people. He was also a prominent member of IEEE.

He was affiliated with the Sri Sathya Sai Organization where he composed songs, sang, and arranged many poojas (prayers) and Bhajans. He was a poet, painter, composer, chef extraordinaire.

Gururajrao resided in the great town of Livingston, NJ since Dec. 1979, where he lived and raised his children with his loving wife. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years of marriage, Dr. Lakshmi Gururajarao along with his three children, their spouses, and grand children. Anjana Rangarao Lokareddy (Daughter), Rupender Lokareddy, Reena Lokareddy, Malini Rangarao Kane (Daughter), Kevin Kane, Kieran Kane, Hazel Kane, Srisai Rangarao (Son), Divya Ravi Rangarao, Vedant Rangarao, Jyothi Rangarao.

Gururajarao Rangarao welcomed many to his home and into his heart… Always he saw the greatness of others and never turned anyone away. He was an accomplished man who was so humble and taught his children so many lessons in life. His famous quote is, “I see God in all of you.”……
