Richard Kirby, 80 years old of Keyport, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 12, 2016. Funeral Services are under the direction of Sayreville Memorial Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879.Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with a prayer service offered at 11:30 a.m. Internment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Route 35 North, Hazlet, NJ. Born in Bayonne, NJ in 1936, Richard was a longtime resident of Union Beach, NJ and worked as a production line technician in the plastic injection molding field prior to his retirement. Richard was a longtime member of the Holy Family Parish of Union Beach, NJ. Richard was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Mae Kirby; was the beloved husband of Florence (Tocci) Kirby from 1973 until her death in 1978; and was also the beloved husband of Sally (Faust) Kirby from 1958 until 1972. Richard is survived by his children Daniel Kirby, Diana (Kirby) Scott and Donna (Kirby) Colandreo; his grandchildren Laura Kirby and Debbie Kirby, Susan (Scott) McAndrew and Will Scott, and Alyssa Colandreo and Regina Colandreo; and his great-grandchildren Olivia McAndrew and Alaina McAndrew. Richard was also the respected father-in-law of Bill Scott (deceased) and Brian Colandreo; and the dear brother of Janet O’Brien. Richard is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Richard will be missed but never forgotten.
